When to Plan a Disney Vacation

I've mentioned this before, but last summer was to be the summer that we took the boys on their first trip to Disney World. Instead, the boys got a new baby brother!  My husband and I LOVE Disney and can't wait to take our whole crew down to experience the magic.  Thanks to Jennifer Hardy and the wonderful travel agents at Destinations in Florida, I am learning so much about how to plan the perfect Disney vacation.  If you are considering a trip or just want to see what options are available to you, you can fill out one of their easy quote forms with absolutely no obligations and get the best price on your Walt Disney World Vacation Package... Guaranteed!

In choosing the best time to visit Disney World, you want to balance four factors and how important each is for your family:

Crowds:
After the New Year the crowds die down until Presidents Day weekend. Another time that has low crowds is after Labor Day until November.

Weather:
The summer is HOT.  (My husband and I have gone twice for our anniversary at the end of July and it is not a time of year I would want to push a double stroller of cranky toddlers!)
Spring and Fall are still hot but slightly cooler than summer.
Winter is still pleasant but you run the chance of a cold streak.

Park Hours:
Summer and Christmas season have the longest park hours.
Fall and Spring have nice weather but have the shortest park hours and possible ride closures.

Special Events:  Disney is known for their holiday and special events.  There are plenty throughout the year to take advantage of!

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights

February

Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic
