Halloween is coming and everyone is looking for fun activities to do with their little ghosts and goblins. Here is a list of some local events that you may want to check out with your family. Please feel free to comment with any other local kid-friendly activities.
October 25th
Martinsburg Mall for trick or treat, October 25th from 5-7, then head down to the gazebo area for the costume contest from 7-7:30.
Halloween Happening is set for October 26, 2012
from 6:30-9:00 p.m at Sam Michael's Park. Admission fee: $5.00 per person. Ghosts and
Goblins await you with fun and thrills this year! Events for the whole
family include costume judging, games, crafts, prizes, hayrides and
much, much more!

Trunk or Treat at Rock Spring Church October 27 6 ~8pm next to Jefferson County Fairgrounds
Kid's World Fall Party - Oct. 27 10:30am-12noon. Pre-register by Oct. 19. $5. This fun party will include games, snacks, wagon rides, crafts, and lots of silly fun for the whole gang!
The St. Andrew's Mountain Community Center will be holding its annual Halloween Party on the 27th of October, from 2-4 PM. Critters and Conservation will be in attendance, presenting a Creepy Crawly Show at 2 PM that will be both fun and educational for our guests. Come out and join us for games, snacks, and plenty of ghoulish good fun! Admittance is free and there will be treats for the kiddos!
October 31st
Shepherd University will host its 12th annual Shep-or-Treat Halloween event on Wednesday, October 31 from 7 to 9 p.m. All faculty, staff, and community members are encouraged to bring their children (ages 14 and under) for a fun night of festivities in the residence halls, Student Center, Dining Hall, and Wellness Center. Before the Shep-or-Treat festivities begin, Shepherd's Dining Services will be hosting a spooktacular kid-friendly all-you-can-eat dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The dinner is $7 for adults and $3 for kids ages three to seven.
