Planning a Trip to Disney?

This summer was going to be our first family trip to Disney. My husband and I love Disney and have visited a handful of times since we married, but this was going to be our first adventure with our 3 boys...and then we found out that this summer our 3 boys would become 4 :) The news of our little blessing meant that we were going to have to postpone our scheduled trip. The boys were a little sad at first, but they are much more excited about a new baby brother and we've assured them that we still plan to go to Disney as soon as the new baby is ready.

A few weeks ago, Jared contacted me about writing guest posts with his insider knowledge of Disney and tips for helping families plan the perfect Disney vacation. I was really excited about this opportunity! I know that our family is definitely looking forward to seeing what Jared has to say and working with him when we begin planning our trip as a family of 6 :)

Here is Jared's first article. You can look forward to seeing him here every month. If you're family is considering a Disney vacation, be sure to contact him and let him know that you read about him here!

Hi, my name is Jared Pitzer and I am a local travel agent who specializes in Disney vacations.  I help my clients experience the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, the Disneyland Resort in California, the Disney Cruise Line, and the amazing guided tours of Adventures by Disney.  When you book a Disney vacation with me, you get free vacation planning assistance and the best part of all; you pay the same price booking with me as you would booking directly with Disney.  So for no additional fees I can answer any questions you may have, make dining reservations, help you celebrate special occasions, make daily itineraries that keep you out of long lines, and make sure you and your family meet all of your favorite characters.

I will be contributing to this site by writing a Disney Destination related post on the second Sunday of every month.  I will be writing on what there is to do and see at the Parks, creative ways to celebrate special occasions, brief history lessons, and ways to save money for your vacation.  A lot of my posts will be focused on the Walt Disney World Resort, as it is the most popular destination for our area. The Walt Disney World Resort really is another world and it can be overwhelming for some people, especially first time visitors. I will also be holding contests that will give you a chance to win some great prizes like a newly released Disney movie or a Disney gift card.

If you have any questions, please feel free to comment on my posts or shoot me an e-mail at  I would really like to hear some suggestions on what kind of posts you would like to see and what topics you would like me to discuss.  Look out for my next post on Sunday, April 8th!

  1. Cool. :-) I was pregnant with #3 when we took our first family trip to Disney. I was still in the morning sickness phase and have vowed never to go back to Disney while pregnant. But we do want to go back! Magic Kingdom was our favorite. We stayed at Pop Century but hope to spring for Polynesian next time (gotta love the convenience of the monorail!)
