No-Fail Chocolate Chip Cookies

I was given this recipe when we got married, and it never fails to bring compliments. I can't tell you how many people have asked me for the recipe and I'm always thrilled to share it. I think everyone needs a good chocolate chip cookie recipe!

2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt

1 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs

12 oz. chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
3.  In a separate large bowl, cream butter, sugar, and vanilla.  Add eggs.
4.  Gradually beat flour mixture into the butter mixture.
5.  Stir in chocolate chips.
6.  Bake approximately 8 minutes or until light golden brown.
7.  Cool for a minute and then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
