L for Leaves

This is such an easy way to review the letter 'L', but the kids had a blast with it!

First, we took some buckets outside and collected leaves.
Then, I cut out an 'L' shape for each  child out of orange card stock.  We reviewed the letter, traced them with our finger, went over the sound, and came up with words that start with the 'L' sound.

Next, the kids got to paint glue on their 'L' and decorate it with leaves.  You could certainly use Elmer's bottles for this, as well, but my kids thought it was the greatest thing to be able to paint with glue, and it let me use up some of the glue in my MASSIVE jug of Elmer's :)

That's it!  A super easy project to review the 'L'!!
