(10)Coordinating Halloween Costumes

For the past few years, I've tried to coordinate the boys' costumes.

The first Halloween with both boys, they were (1)The Tortoise and the Hare.  We didn't get any pictures of them together, though because my little tortoise got pink eye and didn't end up trick-or-treating.

The next year, they were (2) Buzz and Woody.

Last year, they were (3)Phineas and Ferb.

This year, they are rebelling and don't want to coordinate, but I have a few ideas to entice them with.

(4) The Cat In The Hat and Thing 1 & Thing 2

(5)  Superheroes (I'm guessing this will be my best bet!)
(6) Little Bo Peep and her Lost Sheep (If I were the type to dress up, I would totally do this and have the boys be sheep!  So cute!)

(7)Firemen and Dalmatian (While this one is a girl dalmatian, you could easily substitute a boy costume)

(8) Wizard of Oz (The whole family could get into this!)
(9) The Princess and the Pea (If I ever have a girl, we're doing this!)

(10) The Blue's Clues Gang

What are you dressing your kids up as for Halloween this year?

  1. Great list. I would love to do the fireman and dalmatian for our little boy and girl, but I don't know if we will be "doing" Halloween? We are moving to Scotland and evidently only certain streets celebrate it??

  2. Such cute ideas! I always dreamt of having matching Halloween costumes for my kiddos, they always rebelled though :( Love how you got them to do it before they got old enough to say no :) Great post.

  3. Love the ideas! Other ideas I've thought of: M&Ms, Goldilocks and the 3 bears, cowboys and Indians, cops and robbers, doctors and patients, plants and zombies, princess and knights, Mario and Luigi, 3 blind mice, and the UPS guy with a USPS guy. I've spent a lot of time thinking about this (obviously). This year, my trio are going to be superheros.

  5. I've really tried to get my kids to coordinate for Halloween, but, they've always rebelled. So this year will be no different, I'll have Bumblebee (the Transformer) and two princesses.

  6. CUTE outfits and cute family!!! Love every year!! Totally looking forward to dressing up with the whole fam this year :) Our baby girl M who is 14 months old picked out a cow costume with Gpa and Gma, so we will be dressing up as farmers, and our new baby girl will be another farm animal... not yet decided :) Thanks so much for sharing!!

  7. I will definitely be doing this once we have more than one child! This year we aren't doing anything though because Torin will only be 8 months old, and we aren't around any family right now. I'm following you from Kidding Around Friday!

  8. Love to coordinate: 1st Halloween- cowboy, cowgirl & baby cow, 2nd- Minnie Mouse & newly wed couple, 3rd- flower & gardeners. This year I suggested a cat & veterinarians. Nope, she wants US to be the animals and she'll be the doctor. lol

  9. What wonderful ideas! My sister in Atlanta used to have her son costumes go together too. She had them be a fireman and a dalmatian, a vampire and a bat, and a lion tamer and a lion.
